A chartered town planner, Nick Scregg has over 35 years’ experience in planning and development of which 25 years has been in the residential development industry at senior level. Positions held include a board position as Land and Planning Director Charles Church Developments PLC, Managing Director Elvetham Heath Developments (Beazer Homes), Divisional Managing Director Persimmon Special Projects and planning and development consultancy.
Nick has been responsible for the identification, promotion, planning, project management and implementation of large scale housing and mixed use schemes, urban regeneration and major infrastructure projects. These include the multi award winning Elvetham Heath (1900 dwellings, Fleet, Hampshire), Port Marine, Portishead (2,500 dwellings), Jennetts Park (1500 dwellings, Bracknell), Weldon Park, Corby (1000 dwellings), and South Towcester (2750 dwellings).
Nick has represented the residential development industry and has served on numerous groups advising the Department for Communities and Local Government and the Home Builders Federation, with particular emphasis on Community Infrastructure Ley and viability. Nick represented the industry as a steering group member on the Sir John Harman Review Viability Testing Local Plans (2012) and continues to provide advice at Government level.
